| Beginning life as a diesel
Rabbit, the car has been switched over to a modified 2.0L gas engine
with a top-notch audio system to match the performance upgrades. Pear
Cable rounded out a sound system powered by ARC Audio and Bravox to
bring the audio to life.
Top of the line Comice cables ensure that crystal clear sound is
transported throughout the vehicle. Beginning at the head unit,
Comice Silver Interconnects run from the dash to a pair of Arc Audio
SE series amplifiers mounted in the sides of the rear passenger
area. From the amplifiers Comice Speaker Cables run into the carbon
fiber door panels to the 3-way Bravox CS603CF component speakers.
12 Volt power flows freely to the entire system courtesy of Comice
Power wire.
It is fairly safe to say that Mark Bailey is the only one driving
down the California freeway in a 268 horsepower, 1978 VW Rabbit
with an audiophile grade sound system. Exclusivity comes in many
forms.
To read about the full extent of the insanity that drove Mark to
customize his VW, pick up a copy of the September issue of Performance
Auto & Sound. To read more about the cables used in the installation

Silver Interconnects, Comice
Speaker Cable, and Comice
Power Wire.
